Welcome to the “Best of July 2023” from Style Among Friends. It’s been a busy month around here. From Amazon Prime Days to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, we’ve all been “adding to cart” a little more than usual. With that said, we each scooped up some amazing deals! Megan is loving her Amazon Prime cappuccino machine — nothing like a latte to make the afternoons fly by. Christa found a new coat and shoes in the NSale that she’s super excited about. Our Top 5 for July
We’re excited to share our July favorites with you. As always we searched our order histories and looked in our closets and came up with our top five purchases from the month. They are randomly spectacular and quickly becoming must haves.
Christa’s Best of July 2023
I had a sample of this mascara and from the first use I knew it was going to be good. Gives my fine lashes more volume, plus adds curl and length.
When you want to try something new, it’s always nice when you can start with a smaller/sample size first. So here’s a link to the mini size if you want to give this mascara a try!
2 Supergoop Every.Single.Face Sunscreen
Love the SuperGoop Every.Single.Face sunscreen. It’s a watery lotion, so it goes on very smooth, and feels great on your skin (like it’s barely there). This might be the BEST face sunscreen I have tried!
One of my favorite purchases from the NSale. It comes in four colors and there are still lots of sizes remaining. Under $50, and very lightweight — so it’ll be perfect for the fall! Buy yours before August 6 (that’s when the sale ends). Ignore the reviews on this one!
Consider this your reminder to clean your makeup brushes! (When was the last time you did this?) This handy little stand is the best tool to dry them.

5 Cassandra in Reverse by Holly Smale
If you’re a big reader, then this doesn’t seem like a big deal. But if you’re not, you’ll understand. This is on the top 5 list because (1) it’s a good book and (2) I had a goal to read more this summer and I’m doing it! I shifted from never reading to getting through a few books each month. I started reading everyday during lunch, and it’s made for a relaxing start to the afternoon.

Megan’s Best of July 2023
We have four Marshall speakers (converts from Bose) in our house and they are the best. This little cutie is going to college with my youngest son. It’s small, like clock radio small, plays for 20h on a charge and pumps the tunes like a pro.
My friend, Bessie, showed up for our dog walk wearing this gauzy scarf. I went home and ordered it immediately. Not only is it chic and light (and comes in a gajillion colors) but it’s treated with bug repellent that’s good for 70 washes. I’ve been wearing mine for a few weeks now and I can confirm it works! About $20
I love fancy sunglasses but the reality is I don’t treat them very well. Alas, I have resigned myself to the under $20 pairs and these my friends are the BEST I’ve found. So good, I’m sure they are a dupe for something fancy. They sit on my head and don’t stretch out, the shape is big but not too big and they’re polarized. Comes in lots of color combos. Under $15
I love a good lipgloss and these cherry/glow oil are awesome. They are giving VERY STRONG Christian Dior vibes but at under $10 for two they are extremely affordable. I just bought another five pack to give as little gifts to my girlfriends. The colors are very sheer when you apply them and they have a little minty taste.
Panty lines are THE WORST! Especially in workout tights and I just can’t bring myself to wear a thong to workout. These panties are the answer. I was influenced by @boughtobsessed.com and she is right. Comfortable and seamless. Six pairs under $25
