Making Fig Jam with Megan’s Mom

Last week I went to my mom’s house to make fig jam. It’s currently fig season, now’s the time to make this jam. My mom picked a bucket full of figs from her friends tree, however, figs are in season and I’ve seen them in Trader Joes, Wegmans and Harris Teeter. Check your local market if you aren’t blessed with a neighborhood fig tree.

The recipe is one my mom has adapted over time from Food & Wine, it’s really easy and the base has only three ingredients. Start to finish we made our fig jam in one hour.
