Happy August, friends! Welcome to the Best of July and *bonus* our three favorite purchases from Amazon last month. We love seeing what you liked the most, it helps us to keep sharing the good stuff! I think we might ALL be wearing the amazing Wit and Wisdom itty bitty bootcut jeans in the fall. I know I will be. WHAT WE FOUND ON AMAZON IN JULY
Oh, Amazon, you’re always there when we need you – especially this month with all your crazy Prime Day deals! We took a scroll through our order history, and here are three recommended (and random) Amazon purchases from the last month. We’re only sharing purchases we love and would buy again (and again and again!).
CHRISTA’S TOP THREE
These are a Style Among Friends must-have if you do a lot of walking. Like many of you, I grabbed a new pair during Amazon Prime Day. It looks like they are still 20% in some colors.
I’ve been looking for new sports bras for a while. I was influenced to try this one by Caralyn Mirand’s blog, she is the BEST resource for all things bra and shapewear related (I highly recommend you follow her and take her advice!).
I wanted something wireless – who needs wires poking you when your doing a workout! This bra offers great support and the back straps convert to racerback if that’s more your style. Great for all sizes!
Something random…this dog toy is by far the favorite for our new puppy Josie. She is a chewer, and this one is almost indestructible (more indestructible than our poor coffee table!). It’s also great for throwing – she loves to fetch and this one is heavy enough so you can throw it further.
Josie’s Pro tip: It’s even better because it squeaks (at least it did until I broke it)!
MEGAN’S TOP THREE
Got a pro tip from a friend that these “shorties” are the bomb for preventing butt sweat and thigh chafe. I ordered them for my recent vaca and they are amazing. Perfect under dresses and skirts, lightly supportive but most effective for preventing the dreaded chub rub on big walking vacations (or any day for that matter). The Today Show also featured them this week, so I have a feeling they are going to sell out quickly.
I talked about these faux-Birkenstocks a lot in the spring and guess what? I just ordered a second pair. They are so comfortable, I walked MILES in them all over Paris with no blisters or chaffing. Pro tip: all the chic fashion girls were wearing Birks or dupes in Paris; with sundresses, linen pants all of it. The secrets out, comfort footwear is where it’s at!
Another re-order for me. These blue light blocking readers (also have a spring hinge) are the best. $18 for 4 pairs, practically disposable! I’ve gotten many compliments on them and people are shocked when I say AMAZON!

WHAT’S COMING IN AUGUST
August is heating up, literally and figuratively. This month we will be sharing a field trip to Trader Joe’s featuring our favorite items, fall transition layers that won’t break the bank (and that you can wear now and later) and of course we will be walking and talking every Friday.
