WHAT WE’RE WATCHING
CHRISTA : Looking for something to binge this summer on a rainy day? Try Floor is Lava, Nailed It!, Is It Cake?, and Flinch. They’re oddly addicting, fun to watch and you’ll be surprised at how quickly they suck you in – before you know it, you’ve watched the whole season! Enjoy the shows!
MEGAN : Netflix has a new teen drama in their top 10 this week, Surviving Summer. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but given that it was in the top 10 I went for it. Amazing surfing and the glimpse into life in rural Australia is very cool. The story is YA all the way, no cussing or hanky panky. Perfect 10 episode series if you are looking to watch something with your kids that won’t make you (or them!) blush.
WHAT WE’RE READING
MEGAN : I just finished Every Summer After by Carley Fortune. Great beach reach, has a little twist at the end that is predictable but good. I actually listened to it on audible. Add it to your summer reading list.
WHAT WE’RE SHOPPING FOR
CHRISTA : The Tory Burch semi-annual sale is happening through 7/4/2022. I’m a big TB fan – I especially love all the accessories, bags and shoes! I always seem to have a Tory Burch bag in rotation for at least one season each year and they are always my favorites.
- I have already purchased this crossbody bag – I think it’s a perfect crossbody (not too big, not too small). Do I need it in green, too? Tell me I do!
- And I love this bracelet – there’s a huge selection of jewelry on sale.
- If you need a new tote for the summer, this one is super cute from Tory Sport.

SOMETHING JUST FOR FUN
CHRISTA : Have you seen Jurassic World with Bryce Dallas Howard yet? (Just saw it last weekend and it did NOT disappoint!) There’s so much to love about Bryce besides her great movies. Follow her online and you’ll see what a positive role model she is. (Fun fact: We saw her in the Toronto airport and my daughter has a great picture with her – she’s such a nice person!) But check out her gorgeous home (featured in Architectural Digest). So many bold decorating choices (love her wallpaper), so much gorgeous pink..she didn’t hold back! Stunning! We can’t share pics from the article on our blog, but watch this video where Bryce gives a home tour and talks about her decorating inspiration! MEGAN : If you are in the market for a dress up shoe that goes with everything from jean to ball gowns, this is your girl. And today Amazon is serving us an amazing dupe.
WHAT WE’RE WEARING #OOTD
CHRISTA : #ootd for when the temps hit 90! I’ve shared this dress many times, but here it is on. I paired it with some casual nude sandals because I was hanging out in the backyard (or you could dress it up with my favorite clear SCHUTZ sandals). Ladies, this dress is only $36.99 – and it is fully lined with a snap closure in the wrap style top.
MEGAN : Over 50 in a Nap Dress! My Hill House Home Nap Dress arrived and I love it! I got the Ellie in navy blue and guess what, it has pockets! Today was the first day I wore it out and I got three compliments (only one was from someone I’m related to). Highly recommend for a flattering, easy, elegant, one and done.
AND, HERE’S WHERE WE WALKED
Our walk was hot, humid and ended at Chick-fil-a for a cold refreshing drink. Three miles in the sweltering heat felt more like six, but we felt better when we finished. Amazing how exercise and chatting with a friend releases endorphins that you didn’t know were there.
And the magnolias are blooming! The sweet smell and waxy leaves are so beautiful. They always remind me of Georgia O’Keefe. Cheers to the weekend!
