Happy Valentine’s Day – it’ll be here soon! No matter who you are celebrating with this year, we’ve got you covered for a last minute Valentine’s Day celebration. You can use items that you already have to plan a simple menu. Then set the scene to make it a memorable night with the ones you love.
Game Night With the Family for Valentine’s Day
Plan the Menu: The focus of the night is the games, and nothing goes better with games than pizza and snacks! By ordering pizza for delivery, you will have more time to play, too.
Set the Scene: To make your night a little extra special for Valentine’s Day, grab some Valentine plates and napkins for your snacks. Target has some really cute options. They can be delivered same day (to help those of us that plan at the last minute).
Make It Fun: Want to try a new game? Try a twist on some old classics, like Monopoly for Sore Losers, Clue Cheaters Edition, and Dos or Uno Flip.
“Romance” with Your Honey on Valentine’s Day
Plan the Menu: You don’t want to spend all night in the kitchen when you could be sipping wine with your honey, so try a simple recipe for a romantic dinner for two. Megan’s tip: this recipe for Chicken Marbella is a winner – quick, easy, make-ahead and delicious! Christa’s Tip: Door Dash works for dinner, too! And don’t forget to pick up a bottle of your favorite wine.
Set the Scene: You can create a beautiful tablescape with some white dishes and a splash of red or pink in your napkins and placemats. Pick up some grocery store flowers and you’re all set for a beautiful dinner at home. (If you need placemats, these are super cute on Amazon.) Tip: Don’t forget the music. Find a wide range of playlists for your romantic dinner by searching Spotify.
Make It Fun: There are some great suggestions for romantic movies on Netflix and Rotten Tomatoes. Here is a list of the “50 Best Romantic Movies to Make You Fall in Love Again” for even more ideas. Or it might be fun to revisit a movie you saw when you were first dating. 💕
Girls’ Night with the Besties on Galentine’s Day
Plan the Menu: Skip the dinner and go straight to dessert! Lots of chocolate, of course! With a quick order from Target and a stop at Trader Joe’s, you can have everything you need to create these individual charcuterie boxes. We included some valentine candy, macaroons, and chocolate covered pretzels for a sweet treat. (We also included some nuts, cheese and crackers we had on hand for a little snack.)
Set the Scene: Set your coffee table with your food and add some candles and cute plates/napkins. You’re all set. It’s that easy. (Christa’s tip: To make entertaining easier I always keep clear plates in dessert and dinner size on hand, along with white beverage and dinner napkins. They go with any occasion, and it’s one less thing to think about when I’m planning. It’s fun to add in a seasonal napkin if I have time to pick some up, like these Valentine napkins from Target.)
Make It Fun: Do you really need an activity? Once you get the girls together, there is always plenty to talk about and the night will fly by with all the laughter! But just in case, these TableTopics games make great conversation starters.
Happy Valentine’s Day! 💕

Chicken Marbella is a great choice for a special V Day dinner. If you have time marinate it over night for an even more flavorful dish.

Since Valentine’s day is Monday, make it Sunday night and then cook it Monday after work. Super easy and so yummy.
