#OOTD…Summer Workout Clothes

Friends share the good stuff, and this week we’re sharing some workout clothes for the summer weather. Don’t let the heat keep you inside! By planning your workouts earlier or later in the day and dressing for the warmer temps, you’ll still be able to enjoy a good long walk with your walking buddies. Don’t forget your sunscreen!

CHRISTA’S PICKS

I went to my favorite brand, CRZ Yoga, for lots of great summer options – all available on Amazon. All of the tops (six // seven // eight) and bottoms (nine // ten // eleven) shown are under $35, and come in lots of colors so you can mix and match! All of these items are lightweight for summer – no excuses not to get out there when the temps are rising!

  • Don’t forget hair ties (no one want their hair sticking to their sweaty neck). (two // three)
  • Let’s talk about the belt bag (one). If you don’t have one, you need one – this one is only $17.99, and a perfect dupe of the lululemon “Everywhere” bag.
  • I love these Vionic shoes (five) for day-to-day wear, but I stick with my trusty Brooks for long walks.
  • Bring your workout inside where there’s some A/C with the Sweat app (four). It’s the best home workout app I’ve tried and I HIGHLY recommend it. Sweat has customizable workouts for all levels, including barre, yoga and strength, with multi-week programs. They offer a 7 day free trial, and it’s $19.99/mo after that. Try it for a week and let us know what you think!

MEGAN’S PICKS

I toggle between three different workouts — hot yoga, walking and group exercise classes that are mainly Tabata-style HIIT workouts. Although each of them does different things for my body and mind, I love them all. As a morning workout girl, I’ve got to get up and get it done before lunch or the threat of it not happening is very real. Putting my workout clothes on first thing in the morning sets the expectation and intention in my brain. Below I’m sharing a few of my current summer workout favs, but just remember friends, no outfit is as cute as healthy feels. Get out there and go for a walk!

  • Shout out to my PICKLE BALL girls! This workout dress is the one for you. One and done, bloomers included.
  • This built in shelf bra tank and leggings (six, seven) are my go to for hot yoga. The leggings are thin enough and the tank is supportive enough for yoga. I’m always a little chilly and sweaty when I walk out of the studio and this sweatshirt (eight) is the perfect topper for post yoga. It’s also great for chilly morning walks!
  • My workout buddy, Susan, and I discovered this cotton tee (eleven) a few years ago and I think between the two of us we have every color.
  • My fav joggers ( twelve ) for walking or traveling. So cute with a white tee and jean jacket as you trek through the airport and extremely comfortable for long flights. Bonus, once you’re there you have a great pair of joggers to explore your destination.
  • These slip “on sneakers” {see what I did there??} (ten) are my go to. I wear them daily – dog walks, running errands, walking with friends – they are cute, comfortable and so easy. I pair them with these smart wool socks (nine) year round. They keep my feet warm in the winter and cool in the summer (especially on the hot pavement)
  • Not to be missed are these must have accessories. The sisters appreciate the FULL SUPPORT of this sports bra (four). My go to water bottle (five). A cushy mat for floor workouts, core and stretching (three). And no walk is complete without a fanny pack/belt bag (two) to hold your phone and essentials.

On Wednesdays, we’re keeping it “among friends” and sharing our fashion, beauty and decor finds with you. Join us every Wednesday!

Hi Ladies …thanks for the post.
Unrelated to workouts, I have a question:
I will be traveling this summer to a tropical location and want to pack my straw hat. What is the best way to do this? Unfortunately, the hat is not designed to bend. Appreciate your guidance.
    Thanks, Barbara
