WHAT WE’RE WATCHING
CHRISTA : Harry & Meghan premiered yesterday on Netflix. I have not seen it yet, but plan to watch. While I’m a huge fan of the couple (and all things Royal), they may have gone too far this time. Seems like they’ve lost any opportunity to mend fences with this one. Is this the documentary they should have made? How will the Royals react? Will you be watching? (If you already watched, what did you think?)
MEGAN : We are digging into the Christmas movies over here, my pick was Christmas at the Cupcake Bakery(or something Hallmark-y like that). Alas, I was vetoed by the boys and we watched A Muppet Christmas Carol. Family crowd pleaser, we all laughed and were reminded of the important message Charles Dickens (or Gonzo!) intended to share. PS Jim Henson = genius.

CHRISTA : This save sweater is SERIOUSLY GOOD! Trust me, because I have it, I love it, and I ordered it in a second color. It’s from The Drop on Amazon and it’s such great quality. No one will know you only spent 50 bucks! Great gift, too!

MEGAN : I have this sweater in black, too! It’s awesome; perfect weight, collar isn’t too big and you can wear it with yoga pants or your coated denim. Perfect price point for a trendy item. Amazon for the win!
SOMETHING YOU NEED
MEGAN : Trader Joe’s find for today. This Snack Bar Mix seems to be allusive, but if you see it, buy a can or two. I don’t usually like snack mixes but this one is <chefs kiss>. Perfect to have on hand when the neighbors stop by for a glass of wine or you need a last minute hostess gift. Pair with a cute holiday bowl, tie a bow on it and you’ve got a winner!
WHAT WE’RE READING

MEGAN : I just finished listening to The Rook by Daniel O’Malley and it was so good. My stylish friend Elaine recommended it and boy it didn’t disappoint. Totally different than what I normally read/like but so good! If you like espionage/crime thrillers with a side of fantasy set in the UK this book is for you. Here’s how it starts: Myfawny (the main character) wakes up in a park surrounded by dead bodies (that are wearing rubber gloves) she has total amnesia and no idea who/what/where she is until she finds a note with directions in her pocket written by her previous self.
Pro tip: When I was looking for the book link on Amazon, I found that they made this into a show on Prime! I feel like my day just go way better. Here is the trailer:
WHAT’S IN MY AMAZON CART
MEGAN : A few random things in my Amazon cart this week. I’ve been looking for the perfect pen as motivation to address my holiday cards. This Pilot G2 is purrrrrfect. We have no decorations or tree up in my house so I snagged this holiday counter spray and it’s making my house smell like Santa’s workshop. Bonus my countertops are super clean!

SOMETHING FOR YOUR HOME
CHRISTA : A vase + some stems = the easiest (and prettiest) way to fill any space! I’ve shared a vase + stem combo here, but have a new one to show you THAT I LOVE! My new vase from Anthropologie definitely makes a statement (I have the cream in size M). For the holidays I left my green eucalyptus stems and added the red berries, too. Easy peasy year-round decorating!

Megan – I agree (re: Harry and Meghan documentary) ..I think they have gone too far. I saw somewhere that Meghan is a self -proclaimed “hugger” …but criticized Kate because she was too formal. The British (like any ethnic group) have their own customs/traditions. Perhaps the Brits are more “formal” and “proper:, but Meghan should not criticize. Having said that, I probably will still watch the documentary 🙂 Lol
