What We’re Watching This Week
MEGAN : I love a bio-pic, make it a music bio pic and I’m all in. Watching the two part Billy Joel series, And So It Goes, on HBO max (via Prime) is like a walk down memory lane. I had no idea he basically lost everything and had to start over! Crazy. Loved learning the stories behind each song. Billy also shared really personal stories about his families ties to Germany and WWII. IMO he is one of the great singer/songwriters of our generation.
CHRISTA : The Last Anniversary (AMC+, Prime Video) isn’t typically my kind of show, but I found myself really enjoying this six-episode limited series. Produced by Nicole Kidman and based on Liane Moriarty’s novel, it’s a twisty family drama full of secrets that keep you watching—though I found myself wishing for a bit more edge and a little less Hallmark.
What We’re Wearing: Outfit Ideas for Women Over 50
CHRISTA : It might not be magic… but having a go-to outfit formula sure feels like it! Getting dressed is way easier when you find what works. Can you spot my formula below? To keep it from getting boring, add a jacket, change your jewelry, and swap your purse for a colorful crossbody. In the fall, swap sandals for wedge booties or ballet flats. Easy peasy! What’s on repeat in your closet…you might have the start of your own formula!
Style tip: I always find the cutest blouses at Social Threads and Avara. Both carry pieces that are always full of fun details. Finding a retailer that works for you definitely makes shopping easier.

[Fun Blouse] + [Kick Flare Jeans] + [Neutral Shoes] + [Statement Necklace] = Classic, Effortless Style
…and a Fall Inspired Outfit Formula
MEGAN : The weather finally cooled down enough to wear this CUTE “city chic” jacket. I found this jacket in the athletic wear section at Nordstrom but she is too good to just wear with workout clothes. The perfect topper on a night that dips below 70 degrees. Just the right third piece over a plain ole white tee and jeans outfit.
Fit tip: This jacket runs BIG. Size down one. It also has toggles that synch in the waist.

What We’re Loving: Everyday Favorites Worth Sharing
MEGAN : While we did a deep dive on camo this week, I couldn’t gatekeep these fun finds. If you are unsure that “hunter chic” is your vibe, try the underwater camo cashmere hoodie or sandy camo pants. The less classic camo patterns feel more urban and a little less like you are going hunting. I also find that wearing a traditional camo pattern a little ironically (like paired with ultra feminine pieces – pink, cashmere, lacey blouse, heels) makes it feel a little more “me”.

CHRISTA : Who else is all about simplifying these days? As I’ve gotten older, I find myself reaching for fewer things—but the right things. In a rush to get ready, I pulled out my go-to makeup products. Just five essentials—and boom, a five-minute face. It also made me realize—having just what I actually use (and love) in my makeup drawer makes getting ready so much easier. No digging, no decision fatigue, just quick and done. A little edit goes a long way!

Mini Style Fix: Stylish Ways to Wear Camo for Everyday Outfits
The Mini Style Fix is like your stylish bestie whispering, “Wear this, you’ll look fabulous”—these bite-sized tips are fast, fun, and totally doable.
Yes, you can wear camo! And yes, it’s making a comeback! And don’t say you’re too old! We’re here to help you with ideas on how to add camo to your outfit and feel current…never trendy! Trust us!
MEGAN : Every few years camo jumps back into the fashion rotation. I’m not much on “hunter chic” but I do like a pop of camo. The camo chore jacket (under $25) is the perfect addition to you closet. When trying new patterns, styles or trends I don’t like to make a BIG investment until I know I’ll use it. If a chore jacket is too big of a camo commitment, try a pair of camo pants, wear it with a pink button down or a cashmere sweater to give a touch of “lady” to the country vibe.
Style Tip: Camo is most commonly worn in the fall and winter (hunting season!). The camo chore jacket is the perfect summer to fall transition piece. Layer it over a white tee with sandals now, a cashmere sweater and boots as the weather turns cold.

CHRISTA : I’ll admit it…I don’t really own much camo. And I wasn’t really planning to buy anything new right now (ahem, the Nordstrom sale was enough!). So, what’s a girl to do when she wants to look current, age-appropriate, and not overly trendy? Easy: add a camo accessory or bag (or camo strap on your favorite purse)! That, I have… and that, I can do!
Style tip: If you don’t own any camo but want to give the trend a try, start with something small or budget-friendly—it’s the perfect way to test the waters without a big commitment.

CHRISTA : Chick-fil-a changed their cups, and let me tell you…this Diet Coke obsessed girlie is NOT happy about it. The old cups kept my drink chilled to just the perfect crispness, and kept the ice from melting so fast that the drink became watered down. If you feel the same way, check out this Chick-fil-a insulated tumbler–feels like you still have the good ol’ cups and it’s my solution for the perfect Diet Coke! Pro tip: they tend to sell out quickly, so sign up for notifications to get your own when they’re back in stock.

MEGAN : An editor at InStyle Magazine has done the Lord’s work for us. The best white tee shirts in 10 categories for women. Cropped (not for me), oversized, shrunken, pointelle, V-neck, non-see thru. Spoiler Alert – the best OVERALL is from Madewell and rings up at $42.
