Now Let’s Walk & Talk!
Welcome to Walk & Talk, a weekly hangout for women over 50 who love good finds and great outfits. It’s all about easy looks, favorite things, and the kind of recommendations you’d text to a friend.
CHRISTA : There’s something freeing about getting to this stage of life and realizing we don’t need to spend another summer hiding behind towels and oversized T-shirts. We deserve the vacation, the pool day, the beach walk, and the fun memories too. A great coverup, a comfortable swimsuit, and a little confidence go a long way. We hope this week’s swim-spiration looks inspire you to embrace who you are right now, feel confident in your own skin, and fully enjoy every bit of summer. Bare those arms in a tank top, confidently sit by the pool in your swimsuit and rock that pair of denim shorts you’ve been stashing in the back of your drawer.
MEGAN : Let’s be honest–the cover up is the swimsuit hero. When buying a new swimsuit I am a fan of choosing suits that have chest support, are in a color that flatters my skin tone and doesn’t leave weird tan lines. I know, I know — we aren’t getting tan anymore, but I still don’t want funny lines. And most importantly, a good cover up. Something cute that can be worn to lunch but doesn’t suffocate you if you choose to keep it on at the pool. Flattering colors, a suit that gives the support you need and a cutie cover up gives the confidence we need to enjoy a day at the pool.

What to Give this Father’s Day
CHRISTA : Time to celebrate all the dads! If you’re looking for some Father’s Day gift ideas, many of these are favorites at our house.

MEGAN : Is your dad a wine enthusiast? A golfer? Gardener? Just likes to chill dad? We’ve got gifts for everyone in our 2026 Father’s Day gift guide.

What We’re Watching
MEGAN : I’m not a huge Star Wars fan, but the rest of my family is. We went to see Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu in the theater. It was a little long for me (two plus hours) but the cinematography and technology was amazing and kept me engaged. Worth seeing on the big screen for that alone. Pro tip: If you have super fans in your family, at AMC theaters you can score a life sized Mandalorian helmet for $55.
CHRISTA : Finally watched Marty Supreme and really enjoyed it. Timothée Chalamet plays Marty Mauser, a shoe salesman and rising table tennis star in the 1950’s who is on a mission to do whatever it takes to raise money to get to the table tennis world championships. His character isn’t very likable and that might be what draws you into this movie. What won’t Marty do to get to Japan to compete? How many bridges will he burn along the way?
What We’re Wearing
CHRISTA : Cute Amazon tops for the win! These all look way more expensive than they are, with prices ranging from about $25–$40. And yes… I own all four. 😂 They’re the kind of easy, throw-on blouses that work with literally every bottom in your closet.
They all come in tons of colors and fit true to size. One thing to note: most of these styles run a little long. If you like a longer, mid-hip fit, you’ll love them as-is. I wanted a slightly shorter length for a front tuck, so I had a couple quickly hemmed at the dry cleaner. Still easy, still affordable, and totally worth it! Compliments guaranteed.
My Outfit Details: Favorite Kelsey jeans from Kut from the Kloth; PRETTYGARDEN top from Amazon; FitFlop sandals – everything is linked here

MEGAN : I took advantage of the GAP 50% off sale (they are always having a sale!) and ordered this co-ord set. Not only is a one and done (but pants!) I have been wearing each piece separately. Very comfortable, easy to pack and perfect for travel. The column of color is one of my favorite ways to get dressed, it makes me look taller!
Fit tip: Runs true to size.
What We’re Loving
MEGAN : After three recommendations it’s worth a try. I had dinner with some of my OG girlfriends (from back in my working days) and one of them mentioned this neck cream. Singing it’s praises and the results she’s seen. This is the third girlfriend I’ve had tell me about Go Pure and my neck is begging me to listen. My favorite part is that it appears to be working after just one use and it has no scent – and clean ingredients. What are you waiting for?

CHRISTA : Time to re-order…this is my daily must-have in my makeup drawer (even on days when I don’t want makeup, I still use this). This tinted moisturizer provides a light coverage that evens it all out. It doesn’t cover all the spots 100% (I’m owning those as I age!) but it does give your skin a more even appearance, reduces any redness, doesn’t settle in fine lines, and generally gives you a fresh look. (My color is 2W Citrine-Light with warm undertones.)

What We’re Styling: Cover-ups are the Summer Heroes
Each week, we share easy outfit ideas inspired by real-life plans and places. Think comfortable, put-together looks you can recreate with what you already own, plus a few fun add-to-cart options if you want to update your closet.
CHRISTA : Let’s be honest…swim season can bring up all the feelings. But this year? We’re choosing to enjoy the beach days, pool afternoons, vacations, and sunshine anyway. No waiting for the “perfect” body. Life is happening now. And here’s the real secret to feeling good during swim season: the cover-up. A cute coverup instantly pulls everything together and makes you feel stylish, comfortable, and confident lounging by the pool or walking the beach. Consider it the hero piece of summer!
My go-to for swim season is still my Summersalt “Sidestroke” one shoulder swimsuit. I love the full coverage, great support and the design details that make it extra flattering. And while you’re shopping their site, you can grab the best coverup I’ve found – their silky effortless shirtdress.

MEGAN : Shopping for bathing suits is no ones favorite. I used to only wear black bathing suits, a few years ago I decided to pick colors that flatter my skin tone and it has made all the difference in how I FEEL in my swimsuit. Of course, the coverup is my favorite part of the whole look.
Style tip: Pick swimsuits that flatter your coloring.
