Where Friends Share the Good Stuff
Hey there—thanks for joining us for our Walk and Talk! We’re two friends who love sharing the good stuff—great books, shows we’re hooked on, cute things we’ve found while shopping, and all the little things that make life over 50 feel really good. Nothing too trendy, just what’s current and actually works. Think of this as your weekly walk with friends who always have something fun (and useful) to share. We’re so glad you’re here!

What We’re Watching
MEGAN : Does anyone remember the 1981 The Four Seasons movie staring Carol Burnett and Alan Alda? Tina Fey rewrote and remade this classic comedy and it has a star studded cast. Colman Domingo is my personal favorite character. The story follows three couples through the four seasons (ah-hem it’s a metaphor!) of a year as they meet up quarterly on trips. If you are an empty nester in your 50s you will find this show way too relatable. Fey did a great job updating the show while maintaining the integrity of the original. Both versions of The Four Seasons are currently available on Netflix.
CHRISTA : The Eternaut (Netflix) follows a group of survivors navigating a deadly snowfall and alien invasion in a post-apocalyptic Buenos Aires. This one received amazing scores/reviews on Rotten Tomatoes–so if this end-of-the-world stuff is your thing, then this is definitely one you’ll want to binge! (fyi…it was originally filmed in Spanish, but dubbed over in English.)
What We’re Wearing
CHRISTA : Still shopping my closet? Absolutely! My SPANX AirEssentials dress was a go-to last summer because it paired effortlessly with everything, and it’s incredibly soft and easy to wear. I loved it so much in white that I hunted down the black version on Poshmark this year. But…I also found a nearly identical version on Amazon. Before recommending the Amazon version to all of you, I ordered it myself to compare—and it’s seriously a spot-on dupe! 1000% recommend it! If you missed out getting the SPANX dress, this one’s for you!

Unfortunately, the dress is no longer available on the SPANX website, but you can find it on Poshmark or other resellers by searching “SPANX AirEssentials cinched waist t-shirt dress.” Fit tip: If you’re buying the SPANX version from a resale site, size Medium is a 6-8 and Large is a 10-12.

Can you spot the Amazon version? Spoiler alert–it’s the one on the right!

MEGAN : Finding lots of ways to wear this $16 cotton maxi skirt from Target. This week I paired it with a striped tee and sneakers. Easy and comfortable for a day of running around.

What We’re Loving (and Think You Might Too!)
MEGAN : I’m on the hunt for a striped short sleeved cardigan – perfect with my new fav white skirt! This one caught my eye but since I’m trying the trend my budget is under $50. Look what I found when I went to the mall for research! H&M has some treasures right now. Including my favorite spring weight wide leg jeans.

CHRISTA : What are you wearing this summer? Look no further…according to Veranda magazine, it’s “officially the summer of the kaftan”—and for good reason. These timeless, effortlessly chic pieces are perfect for throwing on and heading out in style. Channel your inner Maxine Simmons or Victoria Ratliff and embrace the breezy elegance. (If you’re shopping around, I found that Anthropologie has an amazing selection to explore!)

A Mini Style Fix: Why You Need a Summer Sweatshirt
We’ve added something new to the Walk and Talk! Welcome to our new “Mini Style Fix,” where we highlight one must-have that’s making our lives a little more fabulous. This week, we’re shining a spotlight on a game-changing item we can’t live without—a comfortably elevated sweatshirt look.
MEGAN : I’ve been looking to elevate my everyday athleisure from leggings and a tee shirt, but still be comfortable. This Amazon striped sweater popped up on my feed and for $25 I decided it was worth try. I’ve tossed it on over my workout leggings and tanks, worn it with Lululemon studio pants, blue jeans, white jeans. It’s slightly heavier than a long sleeve tee shirt and will be perfect in the summer worn over my shoulders.
