What We’re Watching
MEGAN : “Piiiii-Per, Noooooooo!”, The White Lotus season finale is Sunday. If you haven’t been watching, you have plenty of time to catch up on the first seven episodes before Sunday at 9. Parker Posey is my spirit animal. There is so much baggage to unpack this season, it’s the perfect show to discuss while you Walk and Talk.

CHRISTA : I shared about Dark Winds (Netflix, AMC+) earlier this year (here). We’re now a few episodes into the season 3, and I just wanted to remind you…if you’re not watching this you might be missing out on some of the best TV out there right now!
What We’re Wearing
CHRISTA : Nothing beats having a favorite pair of jeans! It just makes getting dressed so easy when there’s a pair you love in your closet. If you’re still looking for your favorite pair, try Kut from the Kloth. These “Kelsey” style jeans are my go-to on most days, and the “Reese” style are a very close second! They both come in regular and petite lengths.
Fit tip: I’m 5’4″ and wearing the petite length. If you’re in between sizes, size down.

MEGAN : I went to a business meeting recently and took the opportunity to wear work clothes. If you don’t have a pair of these Abercrombie slacks in your closet I highly recommend them. Could they be the black pants of summer? Super comfortable and I was very glad I had them.

What We’re Loving (and Think You Might Too!)
MEGAN : Is it Christmas in April? The Sephora sale starts today. Here is what’s I’m restocking. I also use the sale to try new (to me) products. The $50 “goodie bag” is a great way to try new products in a smaller size. Also perfect for restocking your toiletry bag. Check out our BIG POST all about our individual makeup routines.
CHRISTA : When you’re an empty nester, decorating for Easter doesn’t have to mean going all out with pastels and bunnies everywhere. Just add a a few affordable touches in your entryway to bring a fresh, festive welcome for all your guests. Try spring-inspired door decor, a vase filled with colorful stems on a console table, and a seasonal pillow on the chair. These small updates create a warm and welcoming seasonal shift—just enough to celebrate the season without the fuss!
What We’re Reading in April
CHRISTA : Here’s my pick for April…I cannot wait to dive into this one. If you read it, let me know what you think! From the publisher: Elizabeth Rose Quinn’s debut novel is propulsive and funny, with the serious and scary edge of Black Mirror. The author drops twists in an extremely fresh and cinematic way, while also delivering an emotional core about the true meaning of sisterhood. I was both terrified and enthralled as I took in the searing commentary on the role influencers play in our sense of selves.
MEGAN : I have been completely engrossed in the The Friday Afternoon Club: A Family Memoir by Griffin Dunne. Son of Dominick Dunne, nephew of Joan Dideon; Dunne shares stories form his life growing up with the Hollywood rich and famous. From smoking cigs with Harrison Ford while they built a deck for his aunt and uncle to his year rooming with Carrie Fisher. Amazon editor’s named it “book of the year” 2024. If you love a memoir this is for you.
Random Stuff We Like
MEGAN : I’m a HUGE FAN of Archies flip flops (their arch support has enabled me to wear flip flops again). This winter I ordered a pair of their slides, for research of course. The verdict is in they are amazing. Perfect for a dog walk or gardening, I will still wear my sneakers for a longer walk and talk. I’m sure they will sell out the closer we get to summer to order yours now!
CHRISTA : It’s spring! Add a pop of pink! I’m loving this new-to-me nail color from Londontown, called Queen of Hearts. I’ll be wearing this all through sandal season! (In person, it doesn’t look quite as fluorescent as these pics.) I bought my own so I have it when I get my pedicure, and it’ll come in handy for touchups at home.
