In case you missed it, here’s last week’s Walk and Talk.
What We’re Watching
MEGAN : Girlboss (Netflix), where have you been hiding since 2017? Set in San Francisco, this show’s lead character, Sophia, is a hot mess. No job, no money, but a whole lot of angst. The story line is loosely based on Nasty Gal founder Sophia Amoruso. Thirty min episodes are my favorite, perfect for the elliptical or before bed.
CHRISTA : Is anyone else watching 1923 (season 2 on Paramount+)? How did anyone ever survive those harsh Montana winters? And can we talk about Cara Dutton (played by Helen Mirren) and her bravery, marksmanship and compassion…she might be my favorite character in the show! Will Spencer get home in time to save the family ranch? Even though we already know the answer to that, it’s been entertaining TV watching his journey to get there.
What We’re Wearing
CHRISTA : In this Wednesday’s blog post, we shared some affordable finds from some favorite retailers. This great linen-blend midi dress from BR Factory, available in three colors, is under $75 with all their extra sale discounts. It’s perfect for all your day events–showers, grad parties, girls’ lunches, Sunday brunch. So what are you waiting for–fill your calendar, because you have something wear!
Fit tip: dress runs a little big; I’m 5’4″, usually an 8-10 and wearing a Small. My sandals are old from Target last year; I linked some other great options.

MEGAN : I hit up Old Navy this week to find some casual, affordable and stylish fashion. Jackpot! So much great stuff online and in the store. My favorite item, these black sandals. The molded footbed is so comfortable, kinda like Birkinstocks. They run wide (like Birks), perfect for my feet. The brass hardware does’t photograph well, but these look much more high end than their $20 price tag.

What We’re Loving (and Think You Might Too!)
MEGAN : While researching products for our skincare post I found a new to me product that is a game changer. I can’t gate keep it, you must know about this incredible lip treatment/chapstick. Perfect for men, women, children. Leaves your lips so soft and hydrated. Why is no one talking about the magic of this product?

CHRISTA : I have been a huge fan of the Summersalt “sidestroke” one-shoulder swimsuit for years. But I need a new swimsuit and they just haven’t released anything new that gets me excited to spend my money. So, I am on the hunt for another option. Here’s what I have found so far, all from Boden. I own one Boden swimsuit already (the blue one below) and love it. It’s very flattering, offers good coverage, washes well, and the bright colors are perfect by the beach/pool.
p.s. The Summersalt “sidestroke” is definitely the BEST swimsuit I’ve ever worn…I just want new colors/patterns! If you need a new suit and haven’t tried Summersalt, that’s where I recommend you start.
Fit tip: My Boden swimsuit runs TTS; I did not size up like I normally do in most swimsuits.

Random Stuff We Like
MEGAN : The Easter Bunny is coming and you know what that means…time for Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs! My biggest weakness, death row food is a Reese’s. I turned to Pinterest and found a healthier and high protein (but still delicious!) version. True story, my picky 24 year old said they were amazing and ate two.

Healthy Peanut Butter Cups

Equipment
- 1 freezer
- 1 cook top or microwave
Ingredients
- 24 pitted medjool dates
- 1/2 cup natural peanut butter
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 1/2 bag chocolate chips (milk, semisweet or dark all work)
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 1/4 cup crushed peanuts
Instructions
- Lay your dates out on a cookie sheet covered in parchment paper, cut a slit down the middle and lay them open
- In a small bowl mix the peanut butter and protein powder until well combined, add a little water if your peanut butter isn't oily enought
- Using a teaspoon, stuff each date with the peanut butter mixture and pinch closed
- Put in freezer for 10 min
- While the dates/peanut butter are freezing bring a pot of water to boil
- Dump the 1/2 bag of chocolate chips in a glass pyrex bowl with the tablespoon of coconut oil and stir to melt
- Once the chocolate has melted bring the dates out of freezer and dip each one into the chocolate - you can only do the tops or dip the whole thing
- Sprinkle crushed peanuts on tops or sea salt
- Put the tray back in the freezer for an additional 10 min
- Eat and enjoy!
Notes

CHRISTA : My home office is a little space that does a lot! It’s my workspace, a guest room, a gift wrapping station, the headquarters for all my online returns, and, of course, a favorite hangout for my cats. I’ve made the most of every inch with a built-in wall unit/desk, a rolling custom island (filled with wrapping supplies, that moves out of the room when we need to pull down the Murphy bed for guests), and a tall cat tree for my boys to lounge on.
My walls are a deep navy blue—a color I still love—so while I’m not ready to repaint, I’m thinking a few new accessories might be just the refresh I need. I’ve been gathering a little design inspo from Pinterest and have already found some decor pieces…and have more in my cart! Check them out below. My favorite find that’s on order: the curtains from Anthropologie!
