Traveling for the Thanksgiving Holiday

CHRISTA: Whether it’s by plane, train or automobile, travel in comfort AND style. This matching set from Zella is perfect for your trip. Pair it with my favorite some easy on/off Kizik sneakers for a very trendy look. And how cute is the little pouch for your snacks – under $10 from Amazon! (Bonus: this same lounge set is great for relaxing after a BIG Thanksgiving dinner!) p.s. The colors are a little off in the graphic, but the top and bottom are the same color!

Hosting Thanksgiving at Your House

MEGAN: The key to any hostessing outfit is ease and comfort. This floral dress is the perfect Thanksgiving hostess look, it’s one and done! Add boots, jewelry and some lipstick and you are ready for the guests to arrive. Chose a print (never white!) when hostessing so if the inevitable spill happens while serving, your outfit isn’t ruined. Also, look for short or three quarter length sleeves so you don’t have to “roll your sleeves up” to get the job done.

Going Out to Dinner for Thanksgiving

CHRISTA: Boden has become my first stop for dresses. They have a great selection, lots of colors, and carry most in petite sizes. The colors of this corduroy shirt dress just feel like autumn making it perfect for your Thanksgiving dinner out, especially paired with these suede boots. (Ladies, if you need an updated pair of tall boots, these are worth every penny. I have them and LOVE them!) And, as a bonus, since you’re not cooking, you have time for a manicure!

Fit tip: Boden dresses come in Regular and Petite sizes, so if you’re 5’4 and under, you CAN wear a midi dress without it overwhelming you or hitting the floor.

Cooking Your Thanksgiving Turkey

MEGAN: Cozy and comfortable is the name of the game while you’re cooking your Thanksgiving feast. And layers, because sometimes it get’s too hot in the kitchen. This denim apron is essential to protect your clothes from “splatter”. Remember you’re serving the feast not wearing it. Shoes with a good arch support are essential. Cooking all day requires a lot of standing and lots of standing means sore backs and feet. You’ll need to be 100% to hit the malls on Black Friday.

Walking Off Your Thanksgiving Pie

CHRISTA: Take a little break with a Thanksgiving walk and talk with the cousins! A new fleece, like this one by Free People (or a few options linked below from Amazon) is just the right layering piece for November. Can’t pry the relatives away from the football games and parades? No problem! Throw on some headphones and off you go with your favorite podcast!

Shopping the Day After Thanksgiving

MEGAN: Ah, Black Friday, my favorite part of Thanksgiving! Whether you are hitting the mall at midnight or shopping from your couch this is the perfect outfit. Pull on pants (it IS the day after Thanksgiving) with a tee and a cashmere hoodie. A hat because no one is showering before they hit the stores and sneakers to beat your sister to the good deals!
