We’ve poured over the Nordstrom site (4000 + items!) for all the deals, and here are our Nordstrom Anniversary Sale wish lists for this year’s event. Have you made your wish list yet?
Onto the good stuff…here are our favorite finds from the 2024 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.
Here are a few NSale shopping tips:
- When you’re building your wish list, compare it to what’s in your closet. What do you have already and what do you really need? Make a list so you’re less likely to be sucked into buying things you don’t need or won’t wear.
- When you’re ready to shop, you can select all the items in your wish list and add them all to your cart – it’s so easy!
- Keep items in your wish list even if they are no longer available, because returns happen and you may score that amazing designer sweater later in the sale.
- The NSale is a great time to buy gifts — keep that in mind as you are shopping.
- It’s also a great time to save on designer labels, especially jeans, coats, jackets and shoes! Go ahead and splurge knowing you are saving a lot of money!
- Upgrade to two day shipping – your order gets filled faster and less chance of items selling out.

How Christa is Shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
For this year’s sale, I made a list before I even saw the preview. This is my actual list copied from the Notes app on my phone:
- Athleisure (beyond just leggings)
- Pajamas
- Cashmere sweater
- Zella
- Olaplex
I decided to focus on athlesiure (since I wear it so often!)–I didn’t need another outfit with leggings, so I went right to Zella and found some great alternatives, like this skirt and these ankle length pants. I absolutely love how the Nordstrom site styled the Zella skirt with this crewneck and this belt bag–so all three will be in my cart!
Sweaters were high on my list and I love this black stripe Madewell sweater–fingers crossed it fits because it’s so darn cute! And I’m restocking some favorites–the Olaplex shampoo/conditioner and the Nordstrom pajamas I love.
I also checked my closet to remind myself of what I already have for fall/winter. Turns out, I need new brown booties (mine have seen better days!). I don’t have any wedge boots, so these Sofft booties will be a good wardrobe addition.

Items tend to sell out quickly, so if you see something you must have, grab it when you can. Remember, Nordstrom has free returns or you can also return to your nearest Nordstrom Rack. I keep the tags on until fall when I actually can wear my new finds, just in case something doesn’t work as expected and needs to be returned then.
What I’m not buying?
I have learned that I need to 1000% love something in the sale if I’m buying it. Otherwise, it’ll end up in next spring’s donate pile. So once I have my list created, I usually go through it again a few days before I purchase, and narrow it down to only the items that stand out to me. Yes, it’s a whole process!
Happy shopping!

How Megan is Shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
Gleefully! Seriously, I get so excited about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale because this girl LOVES a deal. And I’m easily influenced. If you’ve ever told me to try your favorite xx (<– fill in the blank) chances are I did. The NSale is the perfect opportunity to try some new things at a discounted price. Primarily, the sale is fall/winter items; however, there are LOTS of beauty and home decor AND SHOES! My strategy is:
- replace worn out items (I’m looking at you ON sneakers)
- try a new trend (adidas sneakers)
- gifts
This will be my 5th pair of slip on ON Sneakers. I love ’em. They are the perfect dog walking, running around, everyday shoe. Bonus points for this pair, they have an antimicrobial footbed so you can wear them barefoot! Also trying a trend with the Adidas Gazelles.
More replacement items, cashmere sweaters seem to wear out in my closet. I added this shaker style in baby blue and a dusty rose cashmere crew neck that I’ll wear with jeans and my vast assortment of army green pants.
Several people have recommended the Monos luggage line. A friend purchased a set of Monos luggage for her daughter as a college grad gift, genius! Since my old roller bag has seen better days, this Monos 23″ Hybrid Spinner is going to be the snazzy new replacement. While I’m at it, I’ve added the cute matching Monos weekend bag to ride on top as a carry on. A sucker for a matching set.
The wood meat carving board with 3 piece carving set is a gift for the grill master in my life. I also like to pick up a candle set to have on hand as little gifts throughout the year. They are perfect in a cello bag with a Starbucks card or a lip gloss for a girlfriend’s birthday or for someone that needs a little pick me up.

Pro Tips from Megan
There are limited quantities of every product in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Things do sell out. Here are a few of the things I am doing for my order.
- make a wish list on the Nordstrom website
- set an alarm to wake up at midnight the day you are able to shop (west coast peeps have the advantage because it’s only 9pm for them)
- add your list to cart!
- pay $20 for expedited shipping (this will insure that your items are pulled first and sent out ahead of regular shipping orders)
- if something sells out, keep it in your cart or wish list and check back frequently – as people return items they will come back in stock
- you can return three ways: by mail, to a Nordstrom store or to a Nordstrom Rack – you have one year to return items
