One of our favorite parts of blogging is “doing research” for all of you. We know, it’s a rough job! This month we’re checking out DSW and sharing our favorite DSW picks. If you’ve been reading the blog regularly, you know we love shoes! Checking out the styles at DSW was an obvious choice this month as we went in search of new fall and winter favorites.
We found so many great new styles that we think you’ll love! These are all shoes we would buy for ourselves — and if we could buy them all, we would! We decided to focus on five “categories” of shoes, and select our favorites in each. Honestly, we had to narrow it down somehow or this could be a VERY long post.

MEGAN’S DSW PICKS
I love a good house shoe, especially with all the construction going on in my house. These are fuzzy on the inside and wool on the outside with rubber soles.
2 Slip-on Shoes, aka Dog Walking Shoes
These had me at fur, and not just because I wear them walking my furry girl. High rubber soles make them perfect for all types of weather. And the FUR, can we talk about the fur again?
These cuties stopped me mid row. I love the tall heel back, neoprene cuff and the wide toe box . Perfect sneaks to compliment my all my athliesure.
These could have been my wild card. Have you been seeing combat boots all over the place or is it just me? These reminded me of the Prada or was it Chanel pair that I saw on the ‘gram. With skirts, cropped jeans, leather leggings… I think the possibilities are endless.

These fancy shoes make me want to go to a party! Well until 10 – and then I’ll need to go home to bed. If you have an event or are looking for something to jazz up your holiday look for under $60, these are your girls. Pro tip: There is special alert on these shoes, customers say they are VERY comfortable.
You know I can’t resist a good purse strap and I noticed this one as soon as we walked into the store. And the purse is the perfect size for daily use. Win/win!
CHRISTA’S DSW PICKS
1 Around the House Shoes, aka slippers
I love a good pair of slippers around the house – I’m never without them. Love these slippers by Ugg — so comfy and cozy, exactly what a slipper should be. They’ll definitely be going on my holiday wish list (hint, hint!)
Such a cute option to slip on for a quick dog walk when the weather is not-so-nice. The soles have good traction and they’re waterproof. I haven’t worn Keds in years (who knew they made such cute options!), but these are now in my cart!
I have these and I love these. They’re not for your next HIIT workout, but they are perfect for running errands or walking through the airport – you’ll be feeling comfy with the memory foam insoles but still looking cute with the leopard print! Currently on sale, available in regular and wide widths. Pro tip: New Balance has a lot of cute styles with a touch of leopard – check here.
The Sorel booties are a winter staple for many of us. I have a pair in black and was surprised by how comfortable they are (and waterproof, too)! If you don’t have them, you should give them a try. How cute is this taupe pair with the pink laces? Keeping my eye on these for the colder months. They’re definitely an investment, but totally worth it.
5 Wildcard
When cooler temps arrive, I always seem to struggle with the right footwear. My booties seem too tall with regular length jeans, and my ballet flats aren’t the most supportive option for all day wear (even though I do love them). I think these platform loafers will be just what I need. I tried on all the other platform loafers in DSW (not kidding!) and these weren’t as chunky/clunky as some. (I my excitement of trying them on, I forgot to take a pic!) They didn’t have my size in the store, so I am waiting for them to arrive. Can’t wait to wear them!
Update: The shoes came over the weekend, but they were too big — when I pick up the smaller size I’ll be sure to share a pic!
Last week I shared my lululemon phone cross body for those “no bag” bag policy venues. I spotted this bag by the checkout at DSW and it’s another perfect option when you need to carry a couple of things, but don’t need (or can’t have) a bigger bag. Under $15! Similar option here.
