CHRISTA : When my kids were little, I loved putting together Easter baskets. It was always fun to come up with a theme and find unique items to put in them. As they get older, this idea still works. Think about a hobby they have or something that interests them, and find fun things to put in their basket related to that. And, of course, cash and gift cards are always appreciated. If they won’t be home for Easter, use this same idea for a college care package.
MEGAN : My kids LOVED an Easter egg hunt. My husband and I would sneak outside after everyone went to bed and hide a million eggs all over our front yard. - For the aspiring chef: If she likes to cook, look for some fun little kitchen gadgets and new towels. Pack them in a large bowl or serving tray. Home Goods and Home Sense are a perfect place to find these treasures.
- For the wine lover: Easter basket shopping at Total Wine? You bet! Individual sized bottles of wine or champagne would be fun!
- For the work-from-home type: Some new desk accessories for her home office are a nice splurge, including fun gel pens and cute list pads. Instead of an Easter backets, pack all her goodies in a desk organizer.

MEGAN : I’m making two baskets this year; one to mail to my college boy and one for my young adult. One loved to find the golden egg each year in our egg hunts and the other is an adult now. I say you’re never too old, make it fun and silly and fill it with little treats they love to make them smile. You can’t go wrong.

- For the gym junkie: work out gear: wrist wraps, knee pads, fun socks, reusable water bottle and hand chalk—take it up a notch by putting it in a new gym bag instead of a basket.
- For the newly employed: mole skin notebooks, their favorite pen (we love the Sharpie Gel and the Pilot G2), sticky notes in all sizes, Starbucks card, coffee mug, charging phone stand and a metro card if they commute.
- For the budding chef: an enameled pot as the basket, silicon spoons/spatulas, a fancy oil (we like Wegmans basting oil), a spice blend or two and your favorite cook book.
