Our Top 5 for December
December was a busy month with parties, guests, shopping, wrapping, traveling and family time. Here are a few favorites from the last month. Many of these helped us get through the holiday season, and would be great year-round! Some items you’ve seen many times (because we love them that much!) and a few are new discoveries we’re so excited to share.
1 // CRZ YOGA Fleece Lined Leggings. I shared these last month, and I’m sharing again because baby, it’s cold outside! Don’t let the frigid temps keep you from your walk and talks! In 21 colors, just $32 (compared to $138+ for lululemon).
2 // Costa Nova Pearl Oval Serving Platter. I used this platter many times over the holidays. I love it’s generous size for creating an impressive charcuterie board for guests. The classic white is perfect for year-round entertaining. I shared it in December (HERE) with this Trader Joe’s Toscana Cheese Board. Why not start the New Year off by inviting some friends over for drinks? This cheese board is so easy and they’ll love it!
3 // Racer Slingback Pointed Toe Pump by Franco Sarto. A new closet staple for me…I found myself reaching for these shoes again and again over the holidays. The lower 2 1/4″ heel makes them comfortable to wear, but still feel dressy enough for most events. They run TTS, like most Franco Sarto shoes.
4 // C.C Pattern Pom Beanie. Stay warm on your walk & talks! I love all my winter hats by C.C, and this new pattern is so cute! Looks like much more expensive hats from Anthropologie or Free People. Comes in five colors, under $25.
5 // SCHUTZ Victorie Sandal. If you’ve been reading the blog for a while, you know these are my favorite sandals EVER. I just returned from a beach vacation where I wore them every night (makes packing easy!). If you want to start the year off with your own pair, I found them ON SALE (a small sale, but still a sale!) at Zappos and available in all sizes. They run TTS, are a comfortable 2.5″ heel…and the cost per wear on these beauties is so low because they go with everything! Fit tip: If your feet run wide, then sadly the SCHUTZ sandals won’t work for you – they are PVC so there isn’t any stretch. I’ve got you though – found these similar sandals by Dolce Vita that come in wides, and they’re also on sale. Yay!

1 // GAP Flannel Big Shirt I picked this flannel up while Christmas shopping and it has quickly become my go to shirt. The flannel is not too thick and SUPER SOFT. There is a hint of lavender in the plaid — looks great with jeans! Pro tip: size DOWN one size. Currently on sale under $50.
2 // Laura Mercier High Vibe Lip color (#122/”LIKE”) New year = new favorite lipstick. The Laura Mercier High Vibe lip color is so creamy and saturated with color I find myself digging deep in my purse for it.
3 // Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Beauty Blush Wand. Santa put this blush in my stocking and it might be my favorite Christmas gift. It’s a tiny little liquid blush that packs a BIG punch. You don’t need much product. Glides on and is creamy — rub it in with a flat brush.
4 // Flat Foundation Brush. This kabuki style flat brush is perfect for my drippy foundations. Rubs everything in evenly and doesn’t leave any streaks. Easily works better than the $50 brushes I have. It’s only $8.
5 // Treasure & Bond Off the Shoulder Sweater. Nordstrom has been making this sweater for years, I got mine about five years ago and tbh I forgot I had it. During the holidays I was “shopping my closet” to find something to wear with my velvet jeans that wasn’t the same old thing and I rediscovered this gem. Much to my happiness they still make it and it’s still amazing. Looks really cute with flair jeans and boots for a date night look. Kinda sexy but still warm.
