Friends Share the Good Stuff

Welcome to our final 2025 Walk and Talk. It’s another stylish stroll through what’s new, fun, and just too good not to share. 💕 This week, with the rush of the season coming to an end, we’re sharing what to wear for all your post-Christmas shopping, inevitable returns, and comfy days lounging with your favorite people!

We’re so glad you’re here every week. We love sharing our shopping finds with all of you, and look forward to continuing in the new year! Join us again every Friday in 2026 for more good stuff!

What We’re Watching This Week

MEGAN : Emily in Paris (Netflix) is back with a new season (5)! I must confess I binged it in one weekend. The fashion is spectacular, could Emily be this generation’s Carrie Bradshaw? The story is a little predictable and weak, but the outfits — are worth the watch.

CHRISTA : Looking for something new to watch? It’s easy when the awards are announced — just scan the list of nominations for anything you haven’t seen yet! Here’s a link to the 2026 Golden Globe nominations. Leading the pack with the most nominations for TV shows is Adolescence (Netflix) and One Battle After Another is top of the list for movies.

What We’re Wearing: Outfit Ideas for Women Over 50

CHRISTA : Once again, my black pants were the real heroes this season and honestly, they’re a lifesaver year round, not just during the holidays. I have two pairs I love and highly recommend. With these two pants in my closet and a variety of blouses, tops, jackets and sweaters, I can go anywhere!

  • I’ve shared the kick-flare Kelsey pants from J.Crew Factory several times (shown below from this summer). They’re a great “less dressy” option. They’re ankle length, but I ordered the regular instead of petite for a little extra length.
  • The second pair is a wide-leg ponte trouser. Mine is an older LOFT style, but I’ve linked a similar option from Nordstrom. The thick knit fabric and wrinkle-free durability of ponte make them an easy choice all year long.

MEGAN : Anyone else do “forced family fun” during the holidays? I took my crew bowling and at the end of the night they all had a great time. Highly recommend dragging your family out of the house for a little bowling adventure during the abyss between Christmas and New Years. I love Quince cashmere and this boyfriend crew neck is in heavy rotation. Great with jeans, slacks or jammies!

What We’re Loving: Everyday Favorites Worth Sharing

MEGAN : Looking for some casual but fancy black pants for NYE? These just arrived in the mail and they are SO GOOD! The subtle satin tuxedo stripe makes these chinos look much more high end. You could wear with a sweater and sneakers or a silk blouse and heels. Best part – they are $22 and fully stocked in regular, tall and petite. The fit is true to size. These will live rent free in my closet for years and I’ll pull them out all the time.

CHRISTA : A tale of two fleece pullovers…the Amazon find is about half the price of the Free People version. I have the Amazon version in red and wear it ALL.THE.TIME. It’s super cozy, extra warm. Pair it with these fleece leggings for a chilly morning dog walk or winter Walk and Talk. We still have a few months of cold weather ahead, so grab one now and enjoy it all season.

Mini Style Fix: What to Wear for a Day of Shopping Returns

The Mini Style Fix is like your stylish bestie whispering, “Wear this, you’ll look fabulous”—these bite-sized tips are fast, fun, and totally doable.

Comfort is key when you’re running errands and doing returns. Layers make jumping in and out of the car more tolerable, as does a giant coffee or diet coke. Do you do your returns (or hit the sales!) the day after Christmas, or are you sane and recover for a few days first?

MEGAN : Vionic makes the most comfortable shoes and they’re cute. They’ve become a favorite brand because they come in wide widths and they’re cute (did I mention that already?). Doing returns or shopping the sales after the holidays is not for the faint of heart. Dress is layers, it’s cold then it’s hot. Go for comfort but also you want to look nice-ish in case your shopping buddy treats you to lunch at Nordstrom Cafe.

CHRISTA : Running day-after-Christmas errands is basically a sport—and it gets warm fast. Leave the coat in the car and slip into your coziest athleisure so you can get in and out with ease. When I’m refreshing my everyday athleisure basics, I always start with Zella at Nordstrom for comfy, polished pieces that make errand-running feel a little more put together. I’ve pulled together some of their newest pieces here if you’re looking for something new for the New Year.

Just for Fun: Smart Finds & Random Little Joys

CHRISTA : Is it time to upgrade your Christmas tree storage? This is the same tree storage bag my daughter and I both use—and love. The wheels make it super easy to move, and the buckled straps keep everything secure and protected. Best part? It’s well-made AND budget-friendly at just $29.99 for a 7 ft tree and $32.99 for a 9 ft tree!

MEGAN : Do you collect holiday nutcrackers? It started about 20 years ago, I let my kids each pick out a nutcracker at Target. Now we’ve amassed quite a collection of soldiers. It brings me a lot of joy to get them out every year and each son remembers which ones he selected. You know, holiday tradition memories. But storing all the nutcrackers has become a chore. This box holds nine nutcrackers and keeps them standing and safe. The perfect way to store anything tall you might collect during the holidays.
