What We’re Watching This Week
MEGAN : Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere, based on the Warren Zanes novel with the same name, was not at all what I expected. The movie is about the period of time when Springsteen wrote “Nebraska”, his lesser known (to me) acoustic album. I love the Boss and was really looking forward to learning more about his prolific song writing, his crazy band days and his childhood. Deliver Me from Nowhere does go into his childhood but its main focus is a depressive period that Springsteen wrote his way through. Jeremey Allen White is awesome as Bruce, he learned to play the guitar and sing for this movie. My bet is he will get an Oscar nom for his performance.
CHRISTA : If you haven’t watched The Lost Bus on Apple TV yet, add it to your list! It’s inspired by the true story of a bus full of elementary school students, their teacher and their bus driver who are trapped during the devastating 2018 wildfires in Paradise, California. This one is packed with emotion—hope, fear, bravery, resilience… all of it. It’s definitely intense, one of those movies that stays with you long after the credits roll. Highly recommend.
What We’re Wearing: Outfit Ideas for Women Over 50
CHRISTA : I was definitely influenced by a few too many Facebook ads… and yep, this perfectwhitetee sweatshirt finally made its way into my cart (and my closet). This is the Ziggy style in the color “Sugar,” and I love the soft, inside-out look. It’s the kind of sweatshirt that feels casual, but still looks intentionally styled. For a cute lunch-out outfit, I swapped my usual sneakers for these as-comfortable-as-sneakers FitFlop leopard flats — just that one little switch makes the whole look feel more put-together. Cozy + polished = chef’s kiss.
Fit tip: I’m a 6-8, wearing a size M, and it’s a nice “just right” fit, not too oversized. From the website: please note – ziggy runs *small*; designed to have a shrunken fit; sleeves are shorter in length; size up for a looser fit.

MEGAN : We went to a winery on a blustery November day and this is what I wore. The Frame Le Slim Palazzo jeans in petite are the star of this outfit. Very comfortable and easy to wear. They look like slacks but they are denim. I wore my Chelsea boots with this outfit but in the future I’m going to wear my new suede loafers (see below!).
Fit tip: The Frame jeans are TTS, they are an oversized fit.

What We’re Loving: Everyday Favorites Worth Sharing
MEGAN : Time for a look for less. I fell for these suede Gucci loafers, alas they did not fall within my budget. God Bless Google! Can you tell which is the designer shoe? One pair is $1300 the other is under $200. Wearing with my new wide leg Frame jeans and pretty much any other pants I own.

CHRISTA : My most worn coat right now is the Canyon jacket by Vuori. I’ve had mine since last year and still love it. 10/10 recommend this coat! Lightweight, but warm, and easy to layer, it’s ideal for fall, spring, or winter temps (if you add extra layers). I also love it for running errands since it’s warm without being bulky and easy to throw on when you’re on the go. P.S. It also comes in a vest version.
Fit tip: It’s a little shorter in front. If you need something with extra coverage, give the Zella Skyline Longline Quilted jacket a try.

Mini Style Fix: Casual Holiday Outfits for Women Over 50
The Mini Style Fix is like your stylish bestie whispering, “Wear this, you’ll look fabulous”—these bite-sized tips are fast, fun, and totally doable.
Holiday season isn’t just about the big parties. It’s all those fun little gatherings in between. Lunch with the girls, book club, cookie exchange, ornament swap, favorite things party… the list goes on! So today we’re talking casual holiday outfits—looks that feel festive and put-together, but still comfy and easy to wear.
MEGAN : When buying something new to wear for the holiday season, I like to make sure I can wear it at least three ways. (Pro tip: buy it now so you can also wear it during Thanksgiving). I’m considering this little leopard jacket for my holiday outfits. I know I can wear it with my vegan leather skirt, my vegan leather pants, black pants and blue denim jeans. Making sure I will get enough wear out of an item is important to me when making an investment.

CHRISTA : Not looking to buy a head-to-toe outfit just for the holiday season? Wear what’s already in your closet and refresh the look with one standout piece –try velvet, a pop of red, plaid or sequins. A sparkling shoe, shimmering earrings, or a velvet clutch instantly says “I’m here for the holidays,” while still being budget-friendly. Pair it with your favorite black pants or black sweater for an instant holiday classic!

Just for Fun: Smart Finds & Random Little Joys
CHRISTA : The BEST winter coat for your furry walking buddy! Josie appreciates the extra warmth. But I love that it’s easy to put on, with a quick zip up the back. Plus it has an attached harness making it extra easy to clip the leash. It’s under $35 for all that! and comes in lots of colors and sizes.
MEGAN : Bag charms have been a little obsession of mine this fall. I ordered this kit from Bauble Bar and when my sil was visiting we made them. A fun arts and crafts activity. We then gave our creations to a few lucky friends. This is the perfect gift for anyone crafty on your list. Or order it for yourself and make your girlfriends bag charms for the holidays. Wait, are bag charms the new friendship pins? You heard it here first!

ICYMI…
A black (or blue or brown) cashmere turtleneck sweater is a timeless basic that you can make 10 outfits with. This one is under $70, I own (2x!) and can vouch for the quality.
It’s a go-to “travel outfit formula” instead: comfortable pants + favorite t-shirt + cardigan or light jacket + great walking shoes.
