What We’re Watching This Week
MEGAN : All’s Fair should be called All Stars. Naomi Watts, Neicy Nash, Glenn Close, Mamie Gummer, Sarah Paulson, Brooke Shields, Kim K are just a few of the celebs in this show. A legal drama set in LA, the ladies are divorce lawyers helping women get a good settlement even if they have a prenup. Tbh the acting felt a little, forced. The wardrobe on Naomi Watts is keeping me in the game. I’m going to give it three episodes and then decide.
PS Why are characters wearing GLOVES in different scenes? Is this a trend? So distracting and weird.
CHRISTA : A House of Dynamite (Netflix) will definitely give you a lot to think about! When a nuclear threat hits and leaders have just 30 minutes to act, the tension is intense. It’s told in near real-time from three perspectives, and this article breaks down what’s realistic vs. Hollywood embellishment. It definitely left me wondering if today’s leaders are prepared for decisions like that.
What We’re Wearing: Outfit Ideas for Women Over 50
CHRISTA : This dress is perfect for Thanksgiving. Just add a glass of wine and you’ll be ready for the guests! I paired it with my comfortable Dolce Vita boots (old, so I linked this year’s version). It’s such an easy way to get dressed!
Style tip: Dress runs TTS, the elastic waist is very forgiving!

MEGAN : Last week, in our Mini Style Fix we talked about “one black item” that you need in your wardrobe. For me that’s a black cashmere turtleneck. I could make 100 outfits with just this sweater. It’s a classic wardrobe basic. Just for fun I recreated (in real life) the outfit graphic from last weeks post.
Fit tip: The black cashmere turtleneck sweater from Nordstrom Rack is *under $70* and so good…I might have two. TTS and the cashmere is excellent quality – so far no pilling.

What We’re Loving: Everyday Favorites Worth Sharing
MEGAN :Did someone say, “Sephora Sale”? One of my favorite sales of the year – EVERYTHING is part of the sale! I use the Sephora Sale to stock up on tried and true basics, gifts for girlfriends and to try a few new products. Sharing my everyday favorites list of make up for women over 50. This is a list of my current favorites, not to say that next month (or week!) that won’t change. Some of these products (MakeUp by Mario eye pallet) I’ve replaced three times over the years. If you are looking to replace or update anything in your make up bag I can give testimony on all of these products.
Pro Tip: Sephora lets you return any products (lightly used) within 30 days, with receipt, for a FULL REFUND. Bought a perfume and now it makes you sneeze? Return it! The blush looked amazing in the store and when you got outside you looked feverish? Return! Or if you’re like me and get home and realize you have 22 of the same color lipsticks…Return!

What We’re Reading in November
CHRISTA : Reese Witherspoon’s debut novel Gone Before Goodbye (co-written with Harlan Coben) is next on my Kindle. From ReesesBookClub.com: Gone Before Goodbye is a gripping suspense novel that follows Maggie McCabe, a brilliant surgeon whose life unravels after a string of tragedies costs her career and purpose. When a former colleague offers her a second chance treating a high-profile patient overseas, Maggie seizes the opportunity—only for her patient to vanish under suspicious circumstances. As the stakes rise and secrets unravel, Maggie finds herself entangled in a deadly conspiracy, forced to go on the run to uncover the truth before she becomes the next to disappear.
MEGAN : My book club is reading The Three Lives of Cate Kay by Kate Fagan this month. I’m a big fan of Reeses book club picks, so I’m looking forward to the reading this book. The book blurb also mentioned that fans of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo would like this book.
Mini Style Fix: Stylish and Comfortable Travel Outfits
The Mini Style Fix is like your stylish bestie whispering, “Wear this, you’ll look fabulous”—these bite-sized tips are fast, fun, and totally doable.
We love a stylish travel outfit, especially if you have to hit the ground running when you arrive. Whether you are traveling via plane, train or in the car, comfort is key. Focus on dark colors (in case you spill that coffee) and a neutral pallet. We always wear sneakers (slip on are best!) when traveling. You never know when you’re going to have to sprint to the gate. Just remember stylish is a state of mind. Put on some lipstick and enjoy the journey!
MEGAN : I love a two piece travel set. Having tried a bazillion different ones, I finally settled on the Frank and Eileen “Greece” travel set in navy blue. Perfect for a long car journey or a day in the airport. Each piece is versatile when you arrive at your destination. I wear the short sleeve sweatshirt over a white blouse with jeans or the pants with a cashmere sweater for a day of museum hopping. I always travel with a scarf (silk/cashmere blend) it serves many purposes when traveling, most of all as an added layer. Slip on sneakers that will double as your every day shoes on the trip are also a must.
Style Tip: If you love the Frank and Eileen travel set but are looking for a “look for less” Amazon has a VERY similar option. I own both and they are equally cute and functional. The major difference is that fabric, F&E’s set is a heavier cotton.

CHRISTA : I’ll admit it—I get a little travel outfit envy when I see all those influencers online with their perfectly coordinated two-piece sets. But they just never seem to feel right on me! (I love them on everyone else, and I’ll probably keep buying/trying/returning them!) In the meantime, I’m sticking with what works for me. I have my go-to “travel outfit formula” instead: comfortable pants + favorite t-shirt + cardigan or light jacket + great walking shoes.
For me, that looks like my Zella joggers, the best white tee from J.Jill, either a denim jacket or a cozy cardigan, and my Kizik slip-on sneakers. It feels polished enough to wear anywhere once I arrive, but still comfy enough for long flights and gate laps. Easy, practical, no overthinking needed.

Style tip: If you’re on the hunt for a great basic white tee, try J.Jill. I find the fabrics are thicker and the cut of the shirt is not clingy. They’re super flattering and make a great layering piece.
