What We’re Watching This Week
MEGAN : Season 4 of The Morning Show (Apple TV) is out with new episodes dropping on Wednesdays. Alex and Bradley have found more trouble to get into and they’ve got Cory helping them. I love that this show feels like a sneak peek into what the Today Show is probably like, irl.
CHRISTA : In the mood for a good scare this Halloween? Weapons, called “one of the scariest movies of the last 10 years,” might be just what you’re looking for. The mystery kicks off when 17 students from the same classroom vanish at the same time overnight (chills already, right?). The story unfolds in overlapping chapters told from different perspectives, slowly piecing together the truth. It’s strange, it’s gory, it’s downright creepy—and honestly, the perfect modern horror pick for your spooky-season watchlist.
And, if you’re already a fan, did you see that Aunt Gladys is getting her own prequel?!
What We’re Wearing: Outfit Ideas for Women Over 50
CHRISTA : Dog walk? Check! Diet Coke run? Check! Quick grocery store stop? Check! I love my Zella athleisure pieces, like this 1/4 zip sweatshirt (similar here). Mine is from last year, so I’ve rounded up this year’s Zella pieces that are currently available. Hope that makes shopping easier for you!
Style tip: I also linked my favorite everyday sneakers – the Kizik Milan. Easy to slip-on style and comfortable enough for longer walks. Size up in the Milan; I’m usually an 8.5 shoe/9 sneaker and wear 9.5 in these.

MEGAN : Casual Monday outfit. I’ve been wearing these Old Navy barrel jeans in dark gray on repeat. I love the combo of dark gray with tan/nude flats. Pairing it with this floral ruffle blouse (not linkable – but , Madewell makes a VERY similar one) softens the look. Both of these tops remind me of the Doen blouse.
Fit tip: These Old Navy jeans run true to size, maybe a bit on the short side – I’m 5’1. They come in regular, tall and petite.

What We’re Loving: Everyday Favorites Worth Sharing
MEGAN : New week, new purse. I’ve been looking for a navy everyday bag for a while. It had to be the right size, with gold hardware and the right shade of blue. The search took forever and then voila! I found the perfect bag (on sale!) at Talbots.

CHRISTA : A little touch of spooky season for the dining room with this new table runner from Anthropologie. The hand-painted look adds to the spookiness of it! Measures a generous 90″L, 16″W. Also available in a kitchen towel.
Mini Style Fix: Layered Necklaces You’ll Wear Everyday
The Mini Style Fix is like your stylish bestie whispering, “Wear this, you’ll look fabulous”—these bite-sized tips are fast, fun, and totally doable.
Layered necklaces are a fun and low effort way to show a little personality. Whether you are wearing a zodiac symbol, an initial pendant or a locket with a photo of your kids – layered necklaces are a personalized accessory you can sport everyday. Mix metals, gem stones, varying lengths and charms, the more variety the more interesting your neck stack is.
: For years in college I wore a gold chain with a tiny heart charm and the pearl necklace I got for my 13th birthday. Was I early to the layered necklace party? Perhaps, but my love of necklaces and charms has only grown. Now I wear a turquoise tennis necklace my mom gave me and mix in different gold chains, constantly swapping out the charms on them. Sometimes it’s a locket, a heart or a coin. I also have a “paperclip” mixed metal necklace I will add in sometimes. Basically there are no rules. If you love it wear it – without fear of channeling your inner Mr. T.
Style Tip: Stick to a layer of 2 or 3 necklaces, 4 and you start to risk the tangle strangle. When choosing your necklaces, pick varying lengths or have your charm be longer than the other necklace to give variety and so you can see all of the necklaces.

CHRISTA : Layered necklaces are one of the easiest accessories to pull off for an everyday look, especially for women over 50 who want something stylish but not fussy. The secret is balance: start with a shorter, delicate chain near your collarbone, add a mid-length pendant for interest, and finish with a slightly longer chain to create depth. This trio works beautifully with simple basics like a tee, button-down, or even a cozy sweater. It’s modern, versatile, and a quick way to look pulled together without any extra effort.
Style tip: My favorite trio is a combo of an inexpensive necklace I wear all the time from Amazon combined with a colorful beaded Baublebar necklace that adds fun to any outfit. You could also try just layering 2-3 of the same bedded necklace for another fresh look.

Just for Fun: Smart Finds & Random Little Joys
CHRISTA : I’m back with an update and it’s a good one! My gallery wall is officially done, and I’m obsessed with how it turned out. If you’ve been thinking about showing off your favorite photos, you’ve got to check out Framebridge. They seriously make it so easy: just upload your photos, and they’ll print, and frame everything for you. All that’s left? Hanging them up and admiring your masterpiece. You can go with one of their curated wall galleries, have them design something custom for your space, or DIY your own layout. I seriously cannot get over the quality of the printed images. My pictures are 12″x12″, finished framed size is just over 18″x18″. The frames are very light, too, so we only needed a nail to hang each one. Leave a comment if you have any questions! I’m happy to share more details.

MEGAN : Thinking of having some girls over for coffee? I’ve got the EASIEST NO COOK breakfast treat that will have everyone calling you Martha Stewart. I served it at a neighborhood pot luck brunch, one of the 25yo boys said it was so delicious I should share it on the blog. Here ya go, this one’s for you David. What you’ll need:
- 1 tub full fat vanilla greek yogurt
- pint of organic blueberries
- grain free granola
- plastic cups (if doing this at home I would have used real wine glasses)
Assemble in layers and you have yourself a fancy yogurt parfait. Use whatever fruit you have or what’s in season. You’re guests will be thrilled to enjoy a delicious treat with their coffee.
