Jacket

Mother Nature is a fickle friend, making spring the season for lots of layers. This Caslon jacket is the perfect “spring green”, lighter in color than the traditional Army jacket (making it a better for those of us with fairer complexions). The slightly cropped style is on trend and flattering. Currently on sale at Nordstrom $44.

Purse

We want this! Just because…it’s so darn cute! Perfect everyday “lady” bag, only downside we saw was there is no shoulder strap. If you are looking for a good neutral bag to carry you through spring and summer this is your girl. For additional purse inspo check out this post.

Pro tip: Tie a silk (or linen) pocket square (or bandana – Madewell has super cute ones!) to the handle to give it a pop of color.

Pants in a Spring Color

These Wit & Wisdom colored jeans are giving us all the spring vibes. The green pair with a white tee and a denim jacket or the pink ones with a cute puff sleeve sweater. I really love the Caslon spring green utility jacket with the distressed light denim shown in the background. Clearly we are having a moment with colored denim over here.

White Jeans

White jeans, the spring and summer staple of our wardrobes. Did you get a new pair this year? Check out our tips for shopping for a new pair here. We saw lots of variety while doing our white jean recon at Nordstroms. Skinny is still in, but straight is now an option and our old steady Eddie, the boot cut is making a come back with lots of variety. Mini-boot cut, cropped boot cut, high rise boot cut… there is literally something for everyone. We loved these skinnies with an oversized striped button down top and a neutral sandal.

Pro tip: Check out the neutral sandal with the “lady” bag shown above. We’re not usually ones for matchy matchy but come on. That’s a match made in summer wardrobe heaven!

Feminine Dress

Everything at Nordstrom was floral! These dresses by byTimo caught our eye. The pastels, the sweet patterns, the longer length – we loved it all. A new floral dress is a great way to refresh your wardrobe for spring. Any one shopping for graduation dresses? Going to a wedding? Birthday, anniversary celebrations? Or maybe you just want to be extra cute on date night. You will be totally on trend in a pastel, floral, midi dress.

Stripes

Stripes and spring go together like peanut butter and jelly. This nautical inspired sweater jumped out at us. So cute with cut-off jean shorts (for summer) or your white pants (for spring–see above). Great layering piece for now and even better on the beach this summer for sunset cocktails.

Floral Blouse

This dotted Swiss floral blouse caught our eye right away. We love the juxtaposition of this super feminine blouse with the army green pants from Madewell (oh hey- they’re on sale for $65). If the floral dresses were *too much* floral for you but you still want to partake in the trend, try a blouse. You can also tame it down with a denim or utility jacket.

Sandals

These pink slides have a cushy footbed and they are the “trendy” color of the season. Could be worn with dresses, skirts, shorts, slacks or your beach coverup (I guess that makes them perfect for travel?). If you are looking to bring a *pop* of color into your wardrobe, the price is right to make these your girl.

Silver Jewelry

If you are going to make one update to your spring wardrobe, switch out your earrings for silver hoops. Heck, you probably already have a pair in your jewelry box. There’s something about silver hoops the makes us think of summer. Lots of good choices at Nordstrom. We also spotted these silver Tory Burch bangles, which make for a super cute arm party. We love the idea of mixing metals and even colors to jazz up your stack for the season. Now, go find those hoops!
