The Guy’s Guide to Father’s Day Gifts (2022 Edition)

We went to the experts for Father’s Day gifts, and asked our husbands what dads REALLY want for Father’s Day. Here are Drew and Ian’s picks and their comments (with a few edits to keep it a G rating!).

Father's Day Gifts

one : Favorite all-around pocket knife/multi-tool – always comes in handy!

two : Foot massager with multiple settings, heat, deep kneading – trust me, this one is good and your whole family will use it a lot!

three : Igloo 125 qt Rolling Party Cooler – what every backyard patio needs for summer entertaining! It’s elevated, and incudes dividers, separate wine caddy and a bottle opener.

four : Handsfree Paper Towel Dispenser (recommended by my Brother-in-Law)

five : Best all-around corkscrew

six : Ultimate Ears MEGABOOM 3 Portable Wireless Bluetooth Speaker – great sound, plus it’s waterproof for the shower/beach and floats in the pool.

seven : My favorite small flashlights. Great to keep all around the house, in the car, etc.

eight : Best way to make pizza – pizza from your own oven will taste like it came from a wood-burning pizza oven

nine : TRUFF Hot Sauce gift pack – some of THE best hot sauce!

ten : iRobot Roomba j7+ Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum – works with Alexa – anything that can be programmed is a must-have, even a vacuum!

Father's Day Gifts

A hat tip to the ladies for tapping me to share my ideas for Father’s Day gifts. When it comes to style, I know they know better than I do but, maybe I can share some ideas that will resonate with readers with Dads like me. First of all, I don’t even know what day Fathers’ Day is and neither do my kids. That makes the holiday all the better when my disinterested offspring are whipped up into a gift giving fervor by Mother. A special favorite gift of mine is the last minute, home grown card scrawled on office paper from the printer with old crayons. But if you aren’t lucky enough to get one of those, you may want one of these:

one : Subscription to Garden and Gun magazine. With all the Venmo lunch money you send your kids, they can easily finagle the dollars needed to get this awesome publication. Print media is old school but this one is cool. Barbecue, music, travel, flora, fauna. A great addition for the back of your Dad’s favorite commode.

two : Go-Kart Racing. I’d love to get out there on the slick track for Father’s Day. I’d bet my sons that I could beat them to the checkered flag and then I would win. So, it’s probably more like $300 bucks if you can’t beat your own kids.

three : Wobble aka Trap Shooting. Take your Dad out to the local gun range to shoot clay pigeons. Wobble is a good game to start with if you are just introducing gun sport to your kids. Afterwards, you can usually find a Bob Evan’s or Hooters nearby for lunch.

four : Peter Millar brand golf shirt. Hit the links in these comfortable and soft athletic wearables. Pick out your own color and style. Even though I make poor choices, I like to be in control.

five : Tomcare outdoor lights. These little solar tikis are really long lasting and fun. Spend a little extra on the durable, metal ones in case you end up kicking them over when you are stumbling around your yard at night.

six : Felco shears. Gardening Dad’s will love to snip Mom’s veg with these.

seven : Oulikea Flip Flops. As the days lengthen and the sun shines, you will want these leather thongs to showcase the winter white, gnarled toes and yellowy rinds of your feet. Moms, add a pedicure at the local spa if you think you can strong arm your hubby into it.

eight : Theragun. Nothing says fun like sneaking up on your wife with this weapon under the guise of a relaxing massage. Jackhammer the calfs and hammies to elicit howls of that good kind of pain.
